About

Who We Are

Welcome to Turn Your Light On C.I.C! We’re a not-for-profit company on a mission to empower children and young people to become successful adults. We believe that everyone has a bright light within them. However, this light can sometimes be dimmed or even disappear due to societal pressures, family circumstances, and children’s challenges. That’s why we started TYLO – to help children find their inner light and use it to become successful and happy adults, whatever that means for them.

We understand that nurturing children’s well-being from a young age can be challenging for parents and caregivers. That’s why TYLO aims to provide a learning environment that teaches children valuable lessons and equips them with the tools they need to overcome life’s challenges.

Join us on this empowering journey as we help children turn their lights on and unlock their full potential for a brighter future.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: We empower children and young people to develop their resilience, their confidence, and become successful adults through our mentoring programmes, workshops and 1:1 support.

Our Vision

Create a brighter future for children and young people in the UK.

The Challenges

Mental health issues among children are rising and are a growing concern in the UK. Studies show that the number of children affected by mental health problems significantly increases. Unfortunately, the educational system often struggles to create meaningful changes and prioritise children’s well-being due to time constraints (but that’s where we come in!).

Additionally, we understand that parents may overlook their children’s well-being due to busy schedules or mental health challenges, which can lead to severe mental health issues. We strongly believe that early prevention is vital to reducing the risk of mental health problems in children.
